Mirror mirror on the stage
Set in Venice’s Teatro La Fenice, Mirror Mirror on the Stage is a psychological one-act play that blurs the boundary between identity and performance. Christine, a rising actress, becomes dangerously consumed by her role as Adelina, a manipulative noblewoman. As rehearsals progress, Adelina takes on a life of her own, haunting Christine and eroding her sense of self.
With surreal mirror scenes and symbolic staging, the play explores obsession, ego, and the cost of fame—ultimately questioning what remains when the line between actor and character disappears.
Themes:
Self vs. role
Perfectionism and ego
Fame’s illusion
Identity collapse
